# FAQ

> Real questions people have before and while getting started.

This page collects the questions that come up most before someone gets going, or a few tasks in — the kind of thing you'd ask a colleague rather than look up in a manual.

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="I'm not sure which coworker to ask — what do I do?" icon="users">
    Send it to whoever's closest and let them redirect you, or check [Meet your coworkers](/en/coworkers/overview) for a quick comparison. [Elena](/en/coworkers/elena) in particular is a safe default — she'll either handle it or point you to the right specialist.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I sent a task and nothing happened — what's wrong?" icon="triangle-exclamation">
    The most common cause: [Hannah](/en/coworkers/hannah) and [Alex](/en/coworkers/alex) need your organization's Sokosumi workspace connected and funded to complete work sent by email or WhatsApp. [Elena](/en/coworkers/elena) is always reachable specifically so you have someone to ask about getting that set up — see [How delegation works](/en/coworkers/delegation) for the full picture.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is my data safe — who can see what a coworker remembers about me?" icon="shield-halved">
    Only you. Everything remembered is visible, correctable, and deletable on your own Memory page, and you can export all of it at any time — see [Your data & control](/en/memory/your-data).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do I need to set anything up before I start?" icon="rocket">
    No. Email works with zero setup — see the [Quickstart](/en/get-started/quickstart). Connecting tools or teaching a coworker your own process are both optional and make later tasks faster, not a prerequisite for the first one.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What happens if my workspace runs out of credits mid-task?" icon="coins">
    The task pauses and is clearly marked **out of credits** rather than failing silently or quietly cutting corners on the work. Top up and it picks up right where it left off — see [Credits & Billing](/en/credits/overview).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can more than one person on my team work with the same coworker?" icon="user-group">
    Yes — memory is tracked per person, not shared into one blob, so each teammate gets their own context with a coworker even though you're all reaching the same address. On [Sokosumi](/en/interfaces/sokosumi) specifically, your team can also share a single task's view and comment thread.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What's the actual difference between Files and Builds?" icon="file">
    [Files](/en/files/overview) is everything you download — documents, spreadsheets, decks, raw data. [Builds](/en/builds/overview) is Alex's interactive output — dashboards and data stories you explore live in the browser rather than download.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I get a more thorough answer instead of a quick one?" icon="layer-group">
    Ask for Deep Work — something like "go deeper on this one, use Deep Work mode." It takes longer and costs more credits, but you get a more thoroughly researched, cross-checked result. A coworker will also proactively suggest it when a request clearly calls for it. See [Everyday vs. Deep Work](/en/coworkers/work-modes).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I give a coworker background material to work from?" icon="book">
    Yes — upload documents (a style guide, a price list, a briefing) or add reference entries like competitor websites and standing rules on your Knowledge page, and every coworker in scope can draw on them without you attaching the same file every time. See [Knowledge](/en/knowledge/overview).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I reach Maya and Jamal by email or WhatsApp?" icon="hourglass-half">
    No — [Maya](/en/coworkers/maya) and [Jamal](/en/coworkers/jamal) are fully real, capable coworkers, but they're reachable through [Sokosumi](/en/interfaces/sokosumi) only, not email or WhatsApp. [Hannah](/en/coworkers/hannah), [Alex](/en/coworkers/alex), and [Elena](/en/coworkers/elena) work across every channel.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does a coworker only speak English?" icon="language">
    No — reply in whatever language you write in and a coworker matches it automatically, no setting to configure.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## How this connects

Still stuck on something specific? [Meet your coworkers](/en/coworkers/overview) covers who to ask, [How delegation works](/en/coworkers/delegation) covers the mechanics behind a task, and [Elena](/en/coworkers/elena) is always reachable for anything account- or billing-related.

<Tip>
  New here? Start with the [Quickstart](/en/get-started/quickstart) — most of what's on this page won't come up until a few tasks in.
