Brand Consistency checks a piece of content against your brand guidelines before it goes out — so drift gets caught before publication, not after. Give your coworker a draft, and it reads it the way a brand guardian would.
This is a specialized skill for marketing and brand teams. See Skills for how skills work more broadly.

What it does

  • Checks tone of voice. Flags where the writing style doesn’t match how your brand is supposed to sound.
  • Checks wording and terminology. Catches inconsistent naming, banned words, or terms that should be used differently.
  • Checks naming conventions. Verifies product names, coworker names, and other proper nouns are used correctly and consistently.
  • Checks visual rules where relevant. For content that includes design elements, it can flag visual choices that fall outside your guidelines.
  • Explains every flag. Each issue comes with a plain-language explanation — not just a pass or fail score — so your team knows exactly what to fix.

What you get

A marked-up review

Specific places in the content where it drifts from your brand guidelines.

Plain-language explanations

A clear reason for every flag, so fixes are quick and unambiguous.

Who it’s for

Brand Consistency is built for marketing and brand teams who need a reliable check before content ships — especially when many people or outside agencies are contributing content, and it’s easy for small inconsistencies to slip through. For example, a brand team working with several external agencies on campaign copy might run every draft through Brand Consistency before approval, catching tone and terminology drift early rather than during a final review cycle.
